I noticed that as I have been busy setting up my business and learning all aspects of running it I haven’t written any blogs and I really enjoy that side of my business too.
I hope you will enjoy learning more about me and those behind the scenes things that are important to me in one way or another.
This time I thought I will tell you where the name Saraste Photography is coming from😊
Some of you might already know that I have a horse. He is a Finnish Horse who I brought over from Finland with me 11 years ago. We have had our ups and downs and I had a bad accident couple of years ago so building my confidence slowly. He is not the easiest horse to ride so that makes it a little bit harder job for my nerves. But by going slowly and with the support from my friends I know someday we are going back to Le Trec training and we just have to experience the dressage competition with him.
His whole name is Sarasteen Simeon. So I used the beginning of his name for my business name. It's a finnish name and rough translation would be something like “Simon of the Dawn”. I usually just use his nickname Simppa as that is faster and a lot shorter. 😊
I was really struggling with coming up my company name and when I was spending some time with him in his field, it hit me. It gives me a warm fuzzy feeling that someone I love so much is the centre of it all.
I added here few images of him where you can see him in the middle of the bluebells this spring. I am still buzzing that I was able to take those images of him.
I photograph in Hampshire, Surrey and Berkshire are so if you need portraits of you Equine or Canine friends I would love to help.
