I had the privilege of joining a lovely young family on their day out at Petersfield Lake.
Both parents, daughter, and their dog Bobby out with her. Daughter also had her best friend and cousin with her to play with. Family wanted to capture a day out with the children and have some nice family pictures as well but more natural style and no conventional posing.
It was lovely to follow the children playing in the playground, feeding the birds, and playing in the forest. When you walk with the family and chat away before you start taking the pictures they relax more, and children forget you are even there.
Children had a lovely relationship with the family dog Bobby who kept children safe but also full heartedly enjoyed the day at the park and kept running in and out of water.
I thoroughly enjoy these kind of photo shoots as I can also enjoy seeing new places, enjoying the nature and you also have time to be a bit more creative with your pictures. I think it took an hour and half to walk around the lake as we weren’t in a hurry and it wasn’t too long for children either as we were moving and only stayed in one place as long as they had something to explore and do.
